Do you plan on finishing your tea quickly?

[That deflection was clumsy and duly noted, but Mukuro wouldn't comment on it with anything more than a soft amused chuckle. He took a delicate sip, focusing his attention on the cup in question.]

Why do you ask? Do you have something in mind?

Finish your tea.

[And that's all he's going to say after that firm order before leaning against a counter to finish his own.]

[My, my, just where was the young priest getting such confidence? Mukuro smirked almost indulgently, taking his time to finish his tea, not at all in a hurry to see what Chikusa Kakimoto had planned. Outwardly, anyway.

Once he was finished, he headed back over to the counter, setting his tea cup down in front of him.]

Should I make another?

[Mukuro taking his sweet time actually works in Chikusa's favor, somewhat. As the seconds drag on, he takes the time to center himself with each breath. Focusing on his lungs expanding and the slide of tea down his throat helps quite a bit.]

[He thinks he's prepared by the time Mukuro gets up, and Chikusa takes a second to close his eyes in preparation. He just has to approach this like he has in the past, for exorcisms- detached, doing a duty.]

[Right.]

[Setting his mug to the side, he starts to step closer to the demon.]

Don't bother.

[Taking a breath, he presses a palm against Mukuro's chest and presses in, trying to mimic how the demon had kisses him that first time.]

[Expression as near to guileless curiosity as a demon could muster, Mukuro searched the young priest's expression, as if trying to decode this new odd behavior. Perhaps he was readying himself to break the contract, to try to weasel out of having to pay Mukuro for his services, or to beg off for now.

So he made a soft surprised noise when he felt Chikusa Kakimoto's mouth against his, his hand hot as a brand against his chest. His eyes widened slightly for a second before he smirked, closing his eyes and leaning forward, opening his mouth to deepen the kiss. So had this been what the young priest had been teaching himself? Mukuro couldn't complain in the least, fisting his hands in his shirt to draw him down closer, kissing him hungrily.]

[Oh- it's been so long, he'd forgotten how gluttonous the demon's kisses could be when he wasn't holding back. Chikusa's feet slide against tile as he maintains his balance against the sudden short pull of his shirt, and his fingers spasm against Mukuro's chest from surprise.]

[Ravenous, consuming- it's a kiss to get lost in. For not the first time, Chikusa almost does. His eyes flutter shut as their lips slide against one another, making way for their tongues, and he has to force himself to remember what he's doing. For a moment, he lets it go on.... Before reaching up with his free hand to tangle his fingers into Mukuro's hair and yank him back away from him.]

[If Mukuro's mouth wasn't already occupied, he'd have to grin victoriously. Sin, in his humble opinion, tasted much like this. Like saliva, like the swipe of a tongue, like a stuttering hot breath. He could practically feel the priest's will eroding with each brush of their lips, with each exchanged contact.

He had been debating whether or not to press the priest back against the counter behind them, to get a proper friction, when he felt the priest's fingers in his hair again. He let out a small noise of satisfaction at the touch, before he was so rudely yanked away.

Eyes narrowing slightly, he reflexively put a hand against Chikusa Kakimoto's as if to shield himself from any further rough treatment. Not that he necessarily minded it. My, just what had the young priest been looking into?]

Too much?

[He smirked up at the priest through lowered lashes, licking at his glistening lips.]

[He'd been looking into how Mukuro moans like he reached orgasm everytime Chikusa has touched his hair. It hadn't been very hard, and he's glad to see that it's still maintained some of its effectiveness. Easily, Chikusa removes his grip at that touch.]

[In fact, he goes one further and tries to step away. Another breath, another attempt at centering himself. Like an exorcism, detached, uninterested. He can fake it, if nothing else.]

Actually, more like just enough.

[He tries to shake his hand away from Mukuro's, twisting his body away in an attempt to straight up leave.]

[It may be hypocritical for a demon to call someone a tease, but that was exactly what Chikusa Kakimoto was being at the moment. His eyes narrowed dangerously as he took a step away from him, and Mukuro followed him sharply.]

Were the deeds I did worth so little?

[He leaned up to nip at the priest's neck, quick and insistent, before forcing himself to release him.]

You should be aware priest, that I won't take kindly to being denied what I want. Especially if you're going to do everything in your power to become more tantalizing.

[Since the idea had come to him, Chikusa had known the demon wouldn't care for it. However, he'd been hoping it would push him off balance. Instead, he's immediately close, teeth scraping against skin, and Chikusa's breath catches in his throat for that one invasive moment. Immediately, he thinks of that weight against him and his hips grinding into his-]

[And the demon withdraws, letting Chikusa's breath return. He crosses his arms as though physically pulling himself together and thins his lips, demanding his heart to calm.]

I was only giving you your "reward" for the night. If that's your response... Too much?

[An echo of the mocking words Mukuro had said to him just a moment ago.]

[Was the priest already catching onto his mannerisms? Normally that would be a sign that Mukuro should take his leave and haunt other places, but he found it fascinating in the face of the seemingly unyielding priest. He should be insulted, he supposed, but mostly it just made him laugh, and he took another step forward. He could see it for what it was. A deflection, an attempt to make himself not so obvious. The thudding of his heart rate was as loud as a drum, no matter how hard the young priest tried to quell it.]

Not enough.

[It was said shamelessly, Mukuro's eyes drifting down to the priest's lips.]

I want you to show me what else you've learned.

[kokuyoyo]

[Closer again. Chikusa swallows, throat bobbing, and tries to ignore how tense he is. This is nothing. Anything that happens, he can handle. He has a better idea now, doesn't he?]

And if I don't care what you want?

Doesn't it?

[Mukuro canted his head to the side, taking another step forward, so that they were toe to toe. He pressed in closer, lips almost brushing against skin.]

Isn't it the same as what you want?

[Automatically, his arms unfold at the invasion of space and one hand presses against Mukuro's chest- as a half hearted deterrent this time instead of a pin.]

You want to drag me into temptation.... I don't want that at all.

[Even if he hasn't backed away. Even if he's continued to call him. Even if his heart is in his throat, beating fast and loud.]

[Chikusa knows that, in a way, it's true. He and the demon's wants are very different things. But... It's becoming more and more obvious by the night that his wants are easily tugged and manipulated things.]

You sure it's not because you're there already?

[The distance that the priest was trying to enforce between them was superficial at best. Instead of burning the contract when he had a chance, he had added to it. Instead of reporting a demon haunting him, he had invited him into his dreams multiple times. Instead of throwing more holy water in Mukuro's face, he'd kissed him. Whether the young priest wanted to admit it or not, he was already too far gone.

Mukuro pressed a soft kiss against the juncture of jaw and neck, his lashes brushing against the priest's soft skin.]

Who are you trying to convince, Chikusa Kakimoto?

No.

[Shuddering, Chikusa finally gathers up enough strength and will to actually push at the demon instead of his hand only there to fill in space. Even before that, however, the muscles underneath Mukuro's lips have gone taut and his shoulders are tense.]

[He's not there. He refuses. Chikusa knows he's made his mistakes, knows he's let his flaws take over.... But...]

[His other hand tightens into a fist at his side.]

I'm not going to let it happen. I'm not going to let you take what I have from me.

[Perhaps Mukuro had been celebrating prematurely. His eyes widened slightly at the push, but he went with it, taking a few steps back to give the priest his space. He turned away from him, chuckling softly.]

Good. I want you to give everything to me willingly, after all. If I wanted to take, I would have done so already.

[He flicked his hair out of his face disinterestedly, heading back towards the couch.]

Should I take my time with this list, Chikusa Kakimoto? Or would it be better to come back when it is all done?

[kokuyoyo]

[Mukuro leaving always puts him so off-balance, and Chikusa still doesn't know if it's because it's betraying his expectations or his desires. Either way, he shakes his head to get rid of the feeling and wraps his arms around himself.]

[Calm. He can be calm.]

...I think I'd be more than perfectly fine with you taking a nice long while before coming back.

My, my, so you've found another way to assuage your loneliness? Have you made new friends? Found the right clothes to hide your sins?

[Mukuro sat down lightly on the couch, stretching out lazily.]

Have you considered what might happen if you're not here to entertain me?

[There's no need for any of this. Both of them know the answer to those questions, know why Chikusa still twitches with every one.]

[Nothing has changed. Not truly. For all his attempts, trying to change his life has felt like trying to speak a new language and understand a foreign culture. What's to blame- his lack of experience or some intrinsic part of him?]

[Chikusa doesn't answer. He only wanders, carefully, to the entrance of the kitchen with his eyes watching Mukuro.]

Is that supposed to be a threat of how you'd be harassing someone else right now?

[Seeing the priest twitch and close the distance, even if minutely, between them made Mukuro smile self-assuredly. He met the priest's gaze evenly, lashes lowered slightly.]

No need to be so rude, priest. Not everyone has the same fascinating hang-ups that you do.

[He canted his head to the side, smirk sharpening.]

Are you saying you wouldn't miss me at all if I were to leave? I would miss you.

You're lying.

[The words are quiet but sharp, an indication of how aggravated he is by having his 'hang ups' pointed out so blatantly. Best he can, he straightens out his posture and his shoulders draw in tighter.]

Even if you were true with what you told me at our first meeting, that I caught your attention, you'd never miss a mere human toy.

[That sharp retort was only going to be met with laughter, Mukuro leaning forward to meet the priest's eyes in amusement.]

Is it? Or is that more comforting than if that was the truth?

[Though, the more Chikusa Kakimoto spoke, the more difficult Mukuro's decision became. Should he cut it as close to the truth as he was able or should he lie? Decisions, decisions.

Instead, he bared his teeth in a semblance of a grin or of a predator raising its hackles, his eyes narrowed.]

Yet I am still here, doing these 'good deeds' solely for your benefit. I have kept my word and done no further harm to your mentor. I have stopped myself whenever you've asked me. Don't underestimate yourself, and what I do for you, priest.

[kokuyoyo]

[In contrast to a normal person's reactions, comfort starts to trickle through him at their opposing stances. The tension which has been present in his body starts to ease up as he meets those narrow eyes.]

"Solely" for my benefit? It seemed like you've been getting at least something out of these encounters too, haven't you?
