[Wise move, Nagisa. That will probably avoid any more unfortunate accidents that could happen between the bloodlusting shark and a plump selkie. Sorry about that appetite though.

Rin is just going to keep up his messy fish carnage until he goes through about five around the size of lower arm. It's been a while since he didn't have to shove other sharks away to get the choicest specimens. Not that he has any problems doing that.]

[As long as Rin sticks to the fish only, Nagisa isn't particularly bothered by how many fish he eats. It's a little harder for him to dart in to catch anything though, repeatedly snatching at fish that swim frantically by his head, only to miss them by a hair. No matter, though. If these fish get away, he'll just have to go hunting again on his own to find another school...far away from Rin to avoid the shark's inevitable bloodlust.

Eventually, he gives in and decides to man the exit until he's done, scaring fish back towards Rin when they try to swim the opposite direction.]

[Eventually, Rin's frenzy dies down so that he's mostly gnawing at the same fish while the rest pass by him without further incident. The frantic movements of the fish have dissipated much of the blood that was in he water so that Rin seems somewhat relaxed, sated from the glut of prey. He flops on his back to continue mouthing at his meal, twitching the tip of his tail. He's still too heavily into his feast to remember Nagisa just yet, but he's no longer as ravenous as he was moments ago.]

[As scary as it is, it's actually kindof fascinating to watch in a way. It's not like Nagisa has been able to watch a shark feed this up close and personal before, not without worrying that he might end up on the menu next.

For now, he decides to just let the other fish escape. They're too riled up for him to catch easily, and he's still a little wary of accidentally disturbing Rin. He'll eat a little later.

Instead, he crawls his way back up onto the rocks, watching Rin out of the corner of his eye as he goes.]

Wooow...you musta really been hungry.

I have a high metabolism. I need a lot of meat.

[Rin half-flops his tail at him, picking at his teeth with one of his claws. His gaze narrows on Nagisa, noticing a distinct lack of fish mess on him.]

Aren't you going to eat too?

[naggysa]

Oh, um...yeah! I was just...waiting to make sure you got what you wanted.

[He isn't going to say it's because he was scared he'd get mistaken for fishmeal, but it's probably still easy for Rin to assume as much, given the way he's looking off to the side as he says that.]

[Rin frowns, as Nagisa's true meaning comes to him easily enough. It makes sense after the disaster inside the ship. And normally, he might even boast about how Nagisa's got the right idea, staying far from a hungry shark. But Nagisa is also the reason he was able to gorge himself so fully and the reason he's not currently bleeding out far from home. It seems stupid to keep emphasizing how scary he is to the only person who can really help him right now.

Instead, he just turns to the side with a mighty sight.]

Can't do much with this tail. You should be fine. I'm feeling kind of sates anyway.

[naggysa]

[That's more of a relief than Nagisa is willing to let on, so instead he just nods, resting against the rocks for the time being.]

Mkay. I'll go find another school, then. You can, uh...go wherever you want right here. The cave goes pretty deep, if you wanna go underwater.

[showyouthesight]

[Rin nods. He shouldn't have to put too much strain on his tail to go deeper and he does want to explore a bit. Not to mention that it will probably make Nagisa feel safer about eating with him in the area. He flips back to his front and thrusts his body forward to dive.]

[naggysa]

[Nagisa watches for a moment or two until he's sure Rin is out of sight before finally turning away to find some more fish to eat. It's starting to get dark out on the open sea, so he doesn't have much more time to search...but he's got good eyesight in the dark, at the very least. And the moonlight makes the flashing bodies of the fish that much easier to see.]

[Rin continues to lazily explore the bottom of the lake long enough to ensure that Nagisa's getting his fill before peaking out of the water again to see if Nagisa is finished. His red eyes have lost their predatory gleam from the feeding frenzy and look more cautious, careful. He doesn't want to endanger the selkie after all.]

[naggysa]

[Nagisa isn't gone very long, mostly because he doesn't need quite so many fish at once. He eats frequently as opposed to a huge amount each time he feeds, though he does have the luxury of living near where humans fish a lot. It makes hunting his own fish easier...if a bit dangerous, being so close to them.

He comes back some time later, his head peeking above the surface of the water until he spots Rin watching him from the distance.]

You haven't stolen anything yet, ehh?

[He's kidding. Probably.]

[The caution quickly disappears from Rin's eyes, as he emerges fully from the water and shakes some water off his hair in one of his overly haughty gestures. The awkwardness from earlier seems to have passed and they're back to where they were before, just a selkie trying to tease an irritable shark with buttons that are far too easy to push.

He gives an airy snort.]

As if there's anything worth stealing.

[Okay, that box that's supposed to capture moments would be the first to go.]

You were a lot quicker than I was expecting with your size.

[He points to Nagisa's blubbery lower half.]

[Nagisa snorts, though he can't help but flush a little at Rin's comment.]

Hmph, I bet I'm way faster than you any day anyways! Size doesn't have anything to do with it.

[showyouthesight]

We'll see about that once my tail is healed!

[Rin actually looks more excited than haughty this time. He wants to race the selkie for real, just to see what this type of mer is really capable of.]

[naggysa]

You're on! Maybe we could make it interesting and bet something, even. Something from my collection and something from yours? Winner gets to take both!

[showyouthesight]

Hoh, what would you put up?

[Obviously, he'll win so he doesn't have to worry about what he risks in the bet.]

[naggysa]

Well, since I'm not afraid to lose...did you see anything of mine that you really liked?

[showyouthesight]

[Rin looks around again, assessing his choices. Anything here would be a worthy prize. And he does take a shining to that box thing, or would if it wasn't busted and unable to do the cool things Nagisa described. Now that bottled ship on the other hand...]

Let's wager that tiny ship of yours.

[naggysa]

[Why isn't Nagisa surprised that that's what Rin went for? His gaze narrows a little with determination as he gives a curt nod.]

Okay, fine. But if I win, I want one of your fancy medallions you were talking about.

[showyouthesight]

[Rin winces internally. As much as he's sure he'll win, he is partial to his medallions.]

... fine.

[naggysa]

Okay, it's a deal then. ...wheeen you're all healed up again, anyway.

[Cause yeah, that looks like it still hurts a lot.]

That better not take forever. Sharks hate sitting around, you know.

[Yes, yes it does.]

It's all wrapped up, so unless you tear it open again, it shouldn't. Have you ever been hurt that bad before?
