I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue

Rules:
- Put down your character name and series in the subject header. Put down any preferences (romantic or if you're a mermaid/human) in the comment.
- Reply to other people! RNG a choice from the prompts below, or just come up with whatever on your own.
- This is not a strictly romance meme. Feel free to have whatever shenanigans you like.
Merfolk and Merfolk
1.
Little Mermaid it
♢ One of you is a merperson with something you want. (Power? Help figuring out what this weird human doodad is? Becoming human?) The other is a powerful sea mage of some sort... And for the first of you, you better hope they're the good sort as you venture forth to their lair...
2.
Exploration
♢ C'mon. What's the worst that could happen when checking out this enormous sunken ship at the bottom of the ocean? You're merpeople! What's the worst that could happen? (Besides sharks. Or giant squid. Or maybe worse.)
3.
New tides
♢ Hey... That person isn't from around these parts, are they...? Maybe one of you is from deep seas, or a swamp-mer way out of your territory, or just from simply a different ocean. Hopefully neither of you are particularly territorial...
4.
Hey there, Ariel
♢ So. Looks like one of you actually took up on some sea witch's deal and is living in some human settlement. The other? Is trying to help you deal with that. Whether it means puzzling out human culture and items with you, pleading with you to come back home, or even offering you a dagger just in case you need to stab your crush (what? it's a legitimate strategy), you two need to cope.
5.
Wildcard.
Merfolk and Humans
1.
For Science!
♢ You're a scientist, here to study a fascinating new creature. Although the 'creature' in question might take offense to you saying that... So are you searching them out for the first time in the open ocean? Keeping them in some sort of containment? It's up to you.
2.
Stranded
♢ There was a shipwreck, and you're the sole survivor... Although you very nearly weren't. Whether you've just woken up or have been trying to puzzle things out on this deserted island, well... It seems you're not alone, although they're not exactly on the island with you.
3.
Siren Song
♢ Merpeople aren't always good signs... Sometimes they lure sailors out onto rocks, or extinguish their stamina and drown them in the ocean's tumultuous waters. Is this another encounter that will end in tragedy?
4.
Chance Encounter
♢ You're nothing extraordinary, just a regular person in a beach town, and one way or another... You find something that's very much not regular. Maybe you just walked into the cove at the right time, or found something- someone- trapped or injured that needed your help. So now what?
5.
Wildcard
no subject
[So she can use it for attempted bludgeoning without guilt. Casual theft is such a great thing. Still off balance, she bends down to grab her shoe when they pass it and brandishes it like a weapon.]
Who says the praise is for you? Maybe I'll find a prettier human boy who knows when to shut his mouth.
no subject
[He didn't seem too impressed or worried about her 'weapon', deciding that they had come far enough from the village to stop, tying the pig so it hung trapped from a nearby branch. He started gathering up sticks, piling them neatly and surrounding them with stones.]
Kufufufu if I knew how to shut my mouth, you wouldn't get rewarded.
[As for prettier. Well, Mukuro knew that was an impossibility but it was cute of M.M. to believe such a creature existed.]
no subject
[It would also be uncomfortable to walk in, probably, if it was made out of pure gold. Still. Mammon wouldn't be walking in that kind of thing a lot. Just one more addition for the hoard.]
[As they come to a stop, she drops the shoe and nudges out of the remaining one, feeling much more at ease. Approaching the dangling pig, she gives a malicious giggle.]
Oh, is your mouth the reason you get into so much trouble?
no subject
[There was a larger town a day or two down the road, and once there, Mukuro would be able to send word to his faithful followers. Most likely they had been tracking the ship, and shouldn't be too far behind. He could have them stop by one of his many safehouses to retrieve enough treasure to sate the siren, if all went well.
He tilted his head to the side to glance back at her with a neutral expression at that, though his eyes glittered ominously.]
Among other things. [Then, before that could properly sink in:] Take care of the pig, if you please.
[Since she had those convenient claws.]
no subject
Heeey, you know that boys who keep secrets from pretty girls won't get to keep all their teeth, either.
[AKA she's not being put off topic, and she is absolutely threatening him again. Whether to punctuate her point or just get down to business, she sinks her claws straight into the pig's fat throat. It takes a few more attempts, blood splattering down into the grass, before she finally seems to get the voice box completely.]
no subject
[If he was supposed to be cowed by the display of violence and strength as M.M. tore out the squealing pig's throat, it wouldn't phase him.]
Cut off the two legs you don't want. The rest is yours.
no subject
[She'll take mocking if threats don't work, really. Staying quiet would just be boring. The legs closest to her get cut and tugged off, tossed over to him lazily.]
You're welcome
no subject
[Which, coming from Mukuro self-proclaimed of avarice, was almost praise.
He waved one at her in thanks, starting the fire quickly, and soon the smell of roasting pig was going to start wafting over.]
Do you want to try it?
no subject
[And it was even more than her weight in gold. M.M. was confident in that much. Why would anyone ever settle for less if they could get so much more?]
[For the most part, she was content to stay over with the rest of the pig, digging into it after shedding the coat so that it wouldn't get messy. Eventually, however, the smell of food lured her curiosity, and she stepped over after snapping into some liver.]
What's the difference?
no subject
[
Of course the only goldfish here was Mukuro but still. While Mukuro might be a criminal, thief, liar, and murder at the drop of a hat, he liked to believe he had some manners. He was going to be tearing the meat off of the cooked pig with his teeth as delicately as he was able, holding out the one leg he wasn't nibbling to her.]
It might be different to you, so you'll have to tell me your opinion.
no subject
[Narrowing her eyes at the leg, she takes it and breathes in a nice whiff of it. There's definitely a more smoky scent to it instead of just blood... Her nibble, when she makes it, isn't out of manners but more curious caution.]
It's not nearly as juicy now.
[Not that she's really complaining, it's just an observation.]
no subject
He watched her reaction in interest, still chewing on his own as he did so.]
Do you like it?
[Either way, his pride wouldn't be ruined, but it was a topic of interest for him.]
no subject
[Thoughtfully, she takes another bite and smacks her lips. Definitely less juicy, but the change of taste isn't half bad.]
I guess it's not too bad with your mediocre food skills~.
[Is he actually good or not?? She has no idea, it doesn't matter.]
no subject
[His smirk was strained, a hint of annoyance on his expression as he held out his hand for the leg back. Mukuro, petty? No way.]
no subject
There are some things that are obvious even to the uneducated~.
[and lol nah bitch you're not getting this back]
no subject
Uneducated maybe, but was I mistaken for believing you weren't a fool?
[He smiled sharply, like a predator might bare it's canines. He'll fight you ( mentally ), don't test him.]
no subject
Chomping down on their prize with all the strength in their spiteful little jaws.
M.M. is no different as she drives sharp teeth into the flesh, forgoing the use of her hands entirely. If not for the fact that pork is filling her mouth, a pout would go perfectly with the look she sends up at Mukuro.]
no subject
Then, completely maturely, Mukuro gave the leg a few good, hard tugs.]
You already have your portion. You can't still be hungry.
no subject
[Oh well.]
[He gets a kick lashed out at him instead. At least, due to her general disuses of legs, it's not as bad as it could be.]
no subject
no subject
[Still determined to hang on, M.M. tears off a chunk of the leg even as there's a shriek echoing in her throat when she falls backwards from Mukuro's yank. Greedily, she tries to devour it as fast as she can while glaring at him.]
[Enjoy the rude gesture being sent your way, Mukuro.]
no subject
[Victorious, Mukuro was going to smirk triumphantly, before starting to eat the leg himself. He didn't need it right at this moment, but a point needed to be made.]
no subject
Don't you know it's rude to take back a gift like that?
no subject
[Still holding the leg, Mukuro started to erase the small signs of their campsite, putting out the fire and taking care to make it look like nothing had ever been disturbed.]
If you're done trying to steal my food, we should get moving.
no subject
[Sulking maybe a little, M.M. goes over to the remnants of her own portion to tear off one last bloody chunk. Licking the blood away from her mouth and hands, she nods.]
Worried someone will come after that pig or for you?
