Mer... okay, 'sea based fantasy creatures'

[It's just another beautiful day out at sea, nothing too exciting. Well, except there is a very dangerous sea naga swimming it's way close to where Nagisa currently is. Very quickly and with some obvious intent, in fact]

[naggysa]

[Nagisa just came out to have a good time and he's honestly feeling very attacked right now.

But no, even though he is a selkie, he's as good as any other creature at holding his breath. He'd been exploring the depths near the cove he called home when he spotted those unusual colors out of the corner of his eye, alerting him to the danger.

Yeah, nope, he is turning right back around and attempting to get the HECK out of there with a strong slap of his tail and a burst of bubbles in his wake.]

[Well tbf he's a snake, he's gotta breathe too. But he can probably hold his breath even longer then the selkie can.

Regardless, that burst of bubbles only seems to make him swim after Nagisa even FASTER, and with shocking speed considering he has no fins or anything of the like]

[Oh no no no NO NO, NOT TODAY

Nagisa pumps both his arms and his tail, trying his hardest to keep out of reach. Why him, anyway? He doesn't taste all that good, he's mostly blubber anyway. Gross.]

[The snake makes one more final push of speed, looking like he's about to nip Nagisa's tail-

-only to dive at the last moment, tackling... something. That something, in the rush of bubbles and yelling, looking like a orca-mer that had just lunged out from some rock. The whale is much bigger then him, but few things wanna tangle with a very poisonous naga, and after a few bites it flees without it's blubbery meal.]

[Nagisa doesn't stop. He just keeps swimming until he feels like he's at a safe enough distance to turn back around and look.

What...just happened?

He powers quickly to the surface once his lungs begin to burn, that sudden exertion burning through the last of his oxygen. He breaks the surface with a loud gasp, his bangs falling into his eyes before he quickly pushes them back, looking around to see if he can see any signs of that naga.]

[The naga also breaches a bit away, his shoulder leaking a little blood into the water. He glances at Nagisa and nods, before diving back in again- apparently with no intent to go after him what-so-ever.

Maybe the whale was his target from the start.]

...huh?

[Had...the naga saved him from being a orca's lunch?

Nagisa takes a huge breath before diving back down into the water to see if he can see where that naga went. Against his better judgement, he wants to follow.]

[He isn't that far off, no longer swimming quickly. In fact he's swimming rather relaxedly and causally away as if nothing happened at all]

[Huh...well that's weird. Nagisa's just going to keep following then, assuming he isn't noticed. Is he going somewhere in particular?]
