You've been cordially invited...

It's been over three years since Kuroo Tetsurou and Tsukishima Kei first started going out, not too long after the reticent blond joined the former in the same college. Not a fact that they've been blaring from the rooftops, but something that neither have really hidden, either, especially after they moved in together around half a year into the relationship. The casual mention in conversation, the pictures and statuses on social media- it's never been a secret.
Still. For some, a few months ago, the wedding invitation coming in the mail was no doubt a surprise.
It's a western style wedding, to the surprise of no one. Traditional style just isn't in the budget for a pair of college students still working hard on their degrees, even with the help of their respective families. That means a quick ceremony before going elsewhere for reception, something made a lot easier by the fact that the ceremony isn't far from the hotel where the reception had been booked. Don't ask what witchcraft or connections the two of them managed for that.
Unsurprising considering the care both grooms can show off when it suits them, the reception area is classy, awash in cool colors with pale white lights guiding people to the various tables where placecards let them know who sits where. Of course, for the main wedding party consisting of the happy couple, their family, and the best men (Bokuto and Yamaguchi, to the surprise of no one), there's a table right at the front of it all where the light is brightest.
And not just because the new couple seem so happy about it all, either.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy the food which gets served out, the only tradition being sekihan while everything is a mix of Japanese and European recipes. Enjoy it all- this place is well practiced in holding wedding receptions, and so the food is pretty good, not to mention the open bar for the adults in attendance.
Of course, no wedding would be complete without a cake, white chocolate and strawberries put together expertly. Special attention to the toppers (at least before a certain groom steals the top portion away, and thus them with it): a small plastic black cat that looks extraordinarily pleased that's in direct contrast to the offensively yellow and inaccurate rubber stegosaurus besides it.
For those who don't have two left feet (or maybe even them if they simply don't care), a space has been cleared out and illuminated in the center while music plays. Newlyweds get the first dance, obviously, but after that, it's anyone's game, and you're more than free to make requests to the DJ.
It's a wedding. Enjoy yourselves, congratulate the couple, try not to get too drunk.
[OOC: With the exception of the two grooms (

Of course you don’t. And you absolutely didn’t just prove you’re worse of a thief by what you just took off of my plate.

[You don't joint own plates of food, Kuroo. But judging by the delighted tone with which he reminds Tsukki they're married, he's probably just looking for excuses to underline that fact at every available opportunity.]

[He’s smiling against as he looks at his now husband, and he doesn’t even realize how much.]
I think you’re just making an excuse to steal my food, honestly.

[Kuroo loves that smile, to the point where he actually reaches out to brush a thumb along Tsukki's lips like he's trying to memorize it by touch.] You know, you're even prettier today than usual. I'd say that's me being completely biased, and on any other day it'd probably be true, but...I think it's the smile.

[And what he’s getting into is apparently buying strawberry wedding cake for their anniversary for as long as they live, or at least so Kei has been promised, and he’s waiting with amused but bated breath to see if his new husband really does carry it out.]
[While he’s expecting cake in their future, he’s not expecting the gentle touch to his mouth, and he blinks at Kuroo until those words come out. Immediately, he’s flushing and batting it away. The smile is still not entirely gone.]
And I think it’s you letting the romantic atmosphere go to your head. I’ve smiled before.

[Because Kuroo looks just as amazing, in his opinion. What is it that he’s seeing that has his eyes shine like that, like he’s the first person to ever discover a secret treasure? Kei still doesn’t think he has any idea, but he won’t complain.]

[The joke is that Kei is pretty sure that’s actually more Tetsurou than him. He leans into his husband’s hold, so relaxed that he’s kind of amazed at it.]
It’s unbelievable that after so many months of stressing out, I can feel this relaxed.

Kuroo, for his part, ignores the whistles and simply grins at Tsukki.] The day's going to come when you realize that almost all the things you were scared of about this are never going to come true, and that'll be the only day of my life happier than this one.

I can still kick you out, Tanaka-san! You too, Nishinoya-san!
[Ignoring the protests, he glances back to Kuroo as he talks. His words have him pause, something shifting in his eyes before he glances back down to their food. Observant for everything except this… He glances back to him from the corner of his eye.]
I realized that the second I went down the aisle.

Realizing it and realizing it aren't the same thing. I don't think it's really sunk in for you yet. [Kuroo chuckles.] But it's fine. I'll know when it does, and I'm willing to wait for it.

[But again. It'd be a little corny. And there's something else that has Kei's attention as he deadeyes his new husband.]
...This is how it's going to be if we ever have kids or, more likely, half a dozen cats, isn't it? You're going to encourage them and undermine me while I have to play responsible pet owner. I can already see it.
no subject
And two... [He nods at Noya and Tanaka.] Are you implying that you ever, in your life, have been or have ever tried to be responsible for those two?

[Frankly, Tetsurou even looks like a cat, from his messy hair to those smirks he's more than glad to bust out. Kei wonders what that says about his taste that it attracts him every time.]
[For now, he glances back out into the crowd with a familiar dry look.]
I've preferred watching them get into trouble and scream on how to get out of it, actually.
