With no further argument from Gethin, Ivan pulls out a small knife and begins to chip away a line around the pillar of stone, and being an octopus, Ivan can squeeze into tiny spaces easier. It's especially helpful when he tries to weaken the rock near the shipwreck.

"Move, fry," Gethin says, and without waiting, he grips the rock with his claw and begins to scrape grooves at the same level as Ivan's chips.

Ivan jets away and works on other parts of the rock. Hopefully soon they'll weaken the rock enough for Luce to help break it apart.
